NEW YORK, October 27, 2003 –
New York Knickerbockers President and General Manager Scott Layden
announced today that center Travis Knight and guard Matt Carroll
have been waived. Forward Maciej Lampe (shin splints), forward
Antonio McDyess (left knee surgery) and center Slavko Vranes
(right patella tendinitis) have been placed on the Injured List.
Knight, 7-0, 245-pounds, averaged 4.7 points and 3.0 rebounds
in seven preseason games, including two starts. The seven-year
NBA veteran has been with the Knicks for the past three seasons, averaging
1.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 126 games.
Carroll, 6-6, 212-pounds, averaged 6.6 points and 2.0 rebounds
in eight preseason games.
The active roster now stands at 12, with three on Injured List.
