NEW YORK, December 3, 2005 – New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball
Operations Isiah Thomas announced today that forward Matt Barnes has been
waived.

Barnes, 6-7, 225-pounds, averaged 4.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in six games
for the Knicks. The Citrus Heights, CA-native was originally signed as a free
agent on Oct. 6, 2005.

The roster is now at 14.
