Thomas has worked out a number of college players projected as second-rounders.
Jackson Vroman, a 6-10 athletic power forward from Iowa State whose father
played for the Utah Jazz, is intriguing. Vroman, who runs the floor well,
has seen his stock rise and may not be available at 43.
The Knicks need shooting guards and Tim Pickett of Florida State is a
high-energy guy whom Isiah worked out.
Romain Sato, shooting guard at Xavier, had a big showing at the Chicago pre-
draft camp and the Knicks are trying to get him to work out for them this week.
"He could be one of those lockdown-defender-type guys," said Nuggets assistant
GM David Fredman.
USC shooting guard Desman Farmer, a bit wild, and Seton Hall point guard
Andre Barrett also could be considerations.

Thomas confirmed he has spoken to the Bobcats about a trade in
which Charlotte would take a particular player for the Knicks in the expansion
draft. The Knicks' pawns are Othella Harrington and Dikembe Mutombo,
both in the final years of their contracts,
and the second-round pick. Charlotte is looking to stockpile draft picks.
Lenny Wilkens says Thursday likely won't redefine the Knicks' future.
"When you don't have a first-round pick, it's not as exciting but you still
listen, still talk, you never know what teams want to do," Wilkens said.
"You keep your ears open."
