O:Was it time for you to leave New York?

A:I don't think I ever wanted to leave. It wasn't a situation where I wanted out
— it wasn't like that. I just understand the business and how it goes. They
wanted to do something different, which is understandable. But for me, I love
New York. Being a professional, I understand this business, and I definitely
understand the opportunity I have now with this team. I felt very comfortable
with leaving. I wish the Knicks the best. There are some great people in that
organization, and I developed some special friendships there as well. I love
the fans in New York, and I wish them well.
