Kobe: 今年二十六歲, 有份正當的工作, 育有一女.
[拉幕]
小女孩想知道 Kobe 是不是計畫好了在比賽一開始的第一次進攻就要直接往牆撞上去.
Kobe: That's what we drew up … and on the first play I took it at him….
Miss: (打斷 Kobe 的說話) And he stuffed you.
Kobe: Yeah, he stuffed me. He made a great defensive play, and on the way back
down the floor I actually started laughing. I found it pretty funny."
[燈暗, 父親開始口白]
T.J.: Father knows best, of course, so I took a look at the replay and I didn't
think it was Shaq who stuffed him, and said so. At the very least, I
wanted to feel what it would be like to be Jack Haley for a few minutes
and suck up to Bryant.
[燈亮, 小女孩目光投向舞台外]
Miss: He just admitted [Shaq] stuffed him.

Kobe: It really doesn't matter; they got the win and that's all that counts.
Miss: What happened in overtime? You just became a non-factor.
Kobe 此時開始解釋說他延長賽時在幫隊友尋找機會.
[燈暗, 父親開始口白]
T.J.: I had watched the game on the couch at home with Miss R.P., the Grocery
Store Bagger and the pregnant daughter with the big butt — we're going
to need a bigger couch — and they were all rooting for Shaq. I was the
only one pulling for the home team.
When Shaq fouled out, I figured this was Bryant's chance to score another
eight points, finish with 50, lead the Lakers to a victory and put a sock
in the mouths of the other family members — making it a wonderful
Christmas.
[燈亮, 舞台上多出一個人]
T.J.: Couldn't you hear me yelling at the TV to shoot the ball?
Miss: (搶在 Kobe 之前接話) He wasn't making his shots.
Kobe: If I penetrate and have a teammate open, I'm going to kick it to him. I
don't want one of my teammates feeling I don't believe in him.
Miss: (laughs) So this is Kobe Bryant, the team player.
Kobe: (chuckles) This is Kobe Bryant as I've always been. I just got on
different shades.
[閉幕]

T.J. 決定送給 Kobe 一個小小的聖誕節禮物.
Miss: At the beginning of the season I called you a ball hog, and I think you
would agree with me. That first preseason game, you were a ball hog,
right?
Kobe: I don't agree, but go ahead.
Miss: You were a ball hog. But I will stand corrected — you're fifth in the
league in assists….
Kobe: Wow, that's an improvement from you, I really appreciate that.
Miss: I still think you're a big baby, though.
