真的都是這麼正面嗎? 我覺得未必. "Wants to try and do it all" 會讓多少教練腦細胞
死一大半. "Doesn't violate the team concept willfully, but he is impulsive" 也
是值得玩味; "Loves a great match-up" 可能是 Kobe 的動力, 但往往成為他的盲點;
"He understood my system. So much savvy" --- 然後 Kobe 痛恨三角是公開的秘密 ...
當然 Winter 可能在這點上就事論事, 但我居心不太好, 很邪惡的去揣測他想延伸但沒說
出來的話.
He will be a much more dangerous offensive player without Shaq jammin up the
basket area.
He's gonna have room to operate and he'll be playing with playmakers.
這算是 Tex Winter 對 Kobe 新球季的展望. 後面這我可以理解, 前面倒不太懂.
"Contrary to criticisim, Kobe wasn't selfish with Shaq. He got the ball to the
big guy" --- 如果這是 Tex Winter 秉著良心說出來的話, 那又有多少人願意參考再去重
新檢視場上的情況. 我的看法是 Kobe 每次進攻時的決定固然可以拿出來檢討, 不過整體
來說 Kobe 若有抱持著拿到球不管場上情況如何就是抱定不傳球給 Shaq 的信念, 是荒謬
的.
附帶一提, Tex Winter 最近對 Shaq 有如下的批評:
Shaq defeated himself against the Pistons - He had one big game in the finals -
Boxing out and rebouding was awful by Shaq in the Finals - One assist in a
finals game is inexcusable - Over the years shaq has had no interest in defense
or rebouding only on the offensive end - Shaq will be a challenge for that team
in Miami."
