Although Bryant has said his defensive effort is similar to previous seasons,
Jackson has noticed a change and speculated before the game Friday that perhaps
Bryant's defensive intensity for Team USA over the summer was a spark.

"He's taken it upon himself to be a one-man defensive show this year," Jackson
said. "It's kind of surprising to me."

Said Bryant of his Team USA defense: "The attention that got has kind of put
the spotlight more on what I'm doing defensively, which is fine by me, because
I'm very proud of it."
