Standing about two feet tall and wearing a snow white dress with a white bow on
her head, Natalia Diamante Bryant is wandering outside the Lakers locker room.
The little heart breaker is smiling and waving at reporters, blinking at one
and then quickly moving to the other. Before Natalia goes too far down the line
of reporters waiting to get into the locker room, Vanessa Bryant comes by and
swoops up her baby girl.
"She's going to go all the way down the row," she says with a smile, as she
tickles Natalia.
Vanessa then starts to dance as she holds Natalia in her arms, swinging her
back and forth while Natalia raises her hands and smiles as if she's on a
roller coaster.
"She loves to dance," Vanessa says. "Kobe sings to her all the time. He
actually knows the words to some of the songs, like 'Rolly Polly.'"
Vanessa then puts Natalia back on the floor, and as soon as she does Phil
Jackson comes out and spots the little girl and smiles. He puts her hand down
to touch her. Possibly knowing her daddy's occasional dislike for the coach,
she moves past him and to a security guard who is holding Vanessa's bag, whose
job is to watch the Bryant's every move.
When the Laker locker room opens, Natalia begins waving good-bye to the
reporters as they go by and Vanessa picks her up again. "Say bye-bye," she says
.
Inside the locker room, Kobe, wearing Nike Air warm-ups, walks to his locker
and faces the daily media hoard he has yet to hide from. As he answers ques-
tions about the Lakers nine-game winning streak and the possibility of being
the No. 1 seed in the West, Shaq walks in wearing a dark green beret looks at
Kobe and does a kung fu punch to the wall and grabs his hand as if he's hurt it
and laughs. Kobe shakes his head and laughs too.
Not too far away, Karl Malone is laughing it up with reporters while Gary
Payton sneaks out the back after talking to Derek Fisher and Rick Fox.
One day, not too far away, they'll look back on these moments as the good old
days. But for the Lakers, as the cliche goes, they're just taking it one day at
a time and one game at a time.
As amazing as Kobe's no look pass to Shaq in the second quarter and as beauti-
ful as the smile on Natalia's face when her dad picked her up, the Lakers are a
game and half behind the Kings for the top record in the west after winning
demolishing the Hornets 107-88 to win their ninth straight game.
"We can feel it now," Kobe said. "We know what's in front of us."

，正在接受記者訪問的 Kobe 看到搖搖頭也跟著笑。這讓我不禁想起 Shaq 在浴室和小孩
洗澡時爬到牆上扮蜘蛛人逗他們笑的軼事。果然在場外有 Shaq 在的地方就有歡笑。
．"The Good Old Days"? 我只是想到 Robert Horry 和 Shaq 最喜歡捏他光頭的 Brian
Shaw。
