[問題] 外州車換牌照(已爬文)

非常不好意思想問一下

在看完精華區&相關標題文章後

我的情況是: 因在外州實習而買了車(三月)

我年度就回加州了(11月)想要把這車運回加州...

本人還持有加州駕照,在查完DMV網站後發現:

1.Vehicle registration那裡說:
If you are a California resident and acquire a new car, truck or motorcycle
from another state, it must be certified to meet California smog laws in
order to be registered here. This includes certain diesel powered vehicles.
DMV cannot accept an application to register a vehicle in California that
does not qualify for registration (Health and Safety Codes [H&SC] §§43150 –
 43156.)

然後我看到這一段 :
NOTE:California law prohibits California residents or businesses from
importing and/or registering a new vehicle with less than 7,500 miles at the
time of purchase unless it meets or is exempt from California emission
standards. If you acquire a 49-State vehicle (manufactured for all states
except California) from another state or country, you may not be able to
register your vehicle in California.

接著我看完exempt:
Exemptions
There are a few exemptions included in the law. As a California resident you
may be able to register a 49-State vehicle if it was:

‧Obtained as part of a divorce, inheritance, or a legal separation
settlement
‧Purchased it to replace your California registered vehicle stolen while you
were using it out of state.
‧Purchased it to replace your California registered vehicle that was
destroyed or made inoperative beyond reasonable repair while you were using
it out of state.
‧An emergency vehicle, pursuant to California Vehicle Code § 27156.2 and
27156.3.
‧Registered by you in the state of your last active military service outside
California.
‧A street motorcycle or motor-driven cycle year model 2005 and older with an
engine less than 50 cubic centimeters (cc) displacement. Beginning January 1,
2006, street motorcycles and motor-driven cycles year model 2006 and newer,
with engines less than 50 cc displacement, require an emission label
certifying them to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency emission regulations,
and may be registered regardless of mileage.

那....我是不是把車賣了比較好?
不然好像不能register.....(哭)

推 dragonsky:禁止是禁止"加州居民或公司"輸入汽車，不是就無關。
→ kiekenny:需要經過驗車跟Smog check等程序,我從AZ開到CA辦理過註冊
→ faldo1211:你把引擎蓋打開,看看引擎上面的Emission Label
→ faldo1211:如果寫This engine complies with US EPA and Californi
→ faldo1211:那就是50 state vehicle,可以註冊
→ faldo1211:如果只有寫US EPA,沒提到California, 那就是49 state
→ faldo1211:不過要買到49 state的車很難, 一般車廠都會拿到 US EPA

推 dragonsky:有加州駕照不一定是加州居民，要一年住六個月以上。
→ dragonsky:後面一句錯了，應該是說要正式居住於加州，時間長短不限
→ dragonsky:，只要買車的時候是正式居住外州，不算加州居民，應該就
→ dragonsky:可以，我不覺得DMV會去查這個，真的是想太多了。
