[問題] 幾個關於美國本土文化的問題

大家好，在看一本書的時候，遇到幾個關於美國文化的問題，想在此請教一下：

1. （小學）head of school committee
   --> 請問 school committee 是指甚麼樣的組織？

2. 每天早上六點十五分起床做午餐、launch the carpools。
   --> 請問 launch the carpools 是指安排開車載其他同學共乘去學校，
       還是別的意思？
       （如果是指當天才安排共乘，感覺很趕，而且每天都重新安排也很沒效率...）

3. 一位親子教養的心理醫生說：
   "Many parents told me they felt adrift after Mommy and Me.
　　They found themselves raising young children
　　in a world that was changing at a dazzling pace,
　　one that was very different from the one they had grown up in."

　 請問這裡的 Mommy and Me 可能是指甚麼呢？？
