有時間限制,一旦失業必須立即申請,不然就失去資格。
你是怎麼被公司解雇的,會影響你是否能領取失業救濟,如果是laid off公司縮減職位,
則一定能領取,但是如果是表現不好fired,如果你是no fault of his/her own沒有責任
的,還是有資格領取失業救濟,也就是你不是intentional misconduct有意行為不當,意
指poor performance表現不好被解雇,還是可以領取失業救濟,而自己quit主動辭職,也
可能符合失業救濟資格,通常是說明你生理或心理無法負荷該職位,可能也可以講被公司
惡搞之類的,參考EDD網站的Voluntary Quit,政府會向該公司詢問是quit、fired還是
laid off,如果是quit、fired,會telephone interview電話來和你詢問解雇的理由做決
定。
領失業保險每兩個星期就要寄出一張表,寫找工作的狀況,學校或生病一定勾沒有,
Person Contacted就寫Online可以,Results可以寫No Response,公司地址要寫清楚。
切記一定不可以太早寄,最早最後的星期五寄,最好是星期一再寄,太早寄會被要求重
寄,相當麻煩,晚寄比較沒關係,截止日兩個星期內寄都可以,但是對方要收到這一張
以後,才會寄出下一張,寄的時間很重要,最好維持在星期五或星期六,也可以上網用
這些。所有寄出的表格都要自己留副本。

Meeting Eligibility Requirements
An individual who files for unemployment insurance (UI) benefits must meet
specific eligibility requirements before benefits can be paid. Individuals
must:
-Have received enough wages during the base period to establish a claim.
-Be totally or partially unemployed.
-Be unemployed through no fault of his/her own.
-Be physically able to work.
-Be available for work which means to be ready and willing to immediately
accept work.
-Be actively looking for work.
-Meet eligibility requirements each week benefits are claimed.
-Be approved for training before training benefits can be paid.
Reason an Individual is Unemployed
The reason an individual is out of work can affect his/her eligibility for
benefits.
-A person who is laid off is out of work through no fault of his/her own.
-A person who quits work or is fired from work will be scheduled to a
telephone interview because there is a separation issue that must be resolved.
Fact: People often think that only laid-off employees are eligible for
unemployment benefits. But, fired employees can collect too, as long as they
weren’t fired for intentional misconduct. (In other words, being fired for
poor performance won’t generally make you ineligible.)
