我個人的經驗是，如果你想要在美國找跟醫藥相關的業界工作
我比較不建議特別跑去讀醫工
醫工讀的比較雜也比較窄，不如讀化工，材料，機械或是電機底下偏生物工程的研究
在業界的BME大部分都不是讀BME出來的
BME博士找到的工作，很多也是跟原來做的研究根本打不著關係。
但是你如果要讀BME的話要有的體認是:
雖然你好像會被訓練成十八般武藝都會，但是你的化學不會比讀化學的強
生物生化phisiology也不會比讀biochem/biology或是MD畢業的強
數學跟結構概念不會比化工機械的強
你一定要守住至少一個強的，然後慢慢彌補其他的(有缺再補)
如果要讀博士的話，選對老師跟選有興趣的領域比選學校重要多了。
但是醫工博士就要有做無限久的 postdoc 的準備
如果想要去業界工作的話，做個要寫論文的MS就好了。
還有啊，雜誌上寫的不要太相信。
以上是我大學讀化學，研究所讀化工(drug delivery/Tissue Engineering)
以及在美國醫藥界 六年+ 的經驗談
