SHAG RH~ !
Today was a SHAG rehearsal. We were rehearsing for the live on Earth Day
(April 16), and somehow this time SHAG was amazing. Making music for the
first time in a long time with Mai Yamane[1] was too great! And GoRo was
rocking on the digeriedo (which I love!). It was really fun. With sAk’s
break beats as a base, the sound was psychedelic, funky, jazzy, minimal,
spacy, druggy, truly spiritual and full of feeling. Thanks to the
participation of Mai and GoRo, the music went down a primitive route. I was
really satisfied and feel that the pleasure I had always hoped for in in
SHAG. And of course K-Ta and kenken are as great as ever!
Come to think of it, the next live is the first time SHAG will spread its
wings into the world outside. Up until now we’ve just been performing on a
stage inside. I think that from now on I want to proceed with a lot of
intensity.
After the rehearsal is my much-loved JKD[2]. Today’s rehearsal was more
challenging than ever, and therefore I am really tired. I just want to keep
going to the extreme!
Tomorrow I’m going to L.A. for a few days to do some things. I hope that I
can rest this tired body just a little bit while I have the chance.
