After the Festival & TD
Earth Day. What a great festival! The people who put the event together, the
volunteers, the shop staff, the people on stage, and of course the people who
attended – you were all wonderful! It was such good energy. The 24th was our
live, and so I really wanted to concentrate. On the 23rd I was able to really
feel satisfied. A live underneath the moon. It was sort but sweet and had a
great atmosphere. An outdoor concert really fits with The FLARE, doesn’t it?
The audience’s excitement was really high, and the spectators (?) were also
really interesting. A bunch of people who looked like hippies were even
dancing. I also drank quite a bit. It was a really free atmosphere.
We didn’t really rehearse, so that was bad and I was really stressed out. I’
ve never gone on stage like that, but it felt really fresh. Actually, we had
to cut one song because of the time limit. It was the right thing to do, but
also a disappointment…
And Kiyoshirou, you were amazing! What emotional power.
The older he gets, the more energy he has. I was really inspired. And I
really admire GOCOO so to be watched by him so at such a close distance
(well, on the side of the stage) made me really happy.
Everyone was so great. And there were lots of shops selling hemp. Lots of
traditional goods too. There were too many good things to buy, too much good
information, I couldn’t even decide where to begin. Oh, and there were lots
of amazing NPO and NGO organizations as well. They were great places to gain
important knowledge and to learn new things.
You guys posted lots of comments with your opinions about hemp. We should all
make an effort to learn more. What’s good. What’s bad. And we should think
about how we make judgements. From TV? Magazines? From what the government
says? From our teachers or parents? Or our own experiences? From the accepted
values set after WWII? I wonder…
To be frank, I disagreed with a few of the comments…but that’s a story for
another time. I’m too tired right now. Right now, we’re working on our
single that will be released June 1st. It’s the “climax” of the project,
and it’s become my life. But it’s such a great feeling! Today, will I keep
working until early morning?
