A grueling birthday
I’m one year older. Even I can’t believe that I’ve lived this long. I don’
t really get excited about my birthday, but I do feel gratitude that I’ve
come this far. I’m so thankful that I was born, that I’ve lived up until
this day!
However, these past few days have been harsh. Yesterday (I guess it was
yesterday) we went to Fukushima to work on our music video at 3:30 a.m.
Shooting began at 5 a.m. and ended at noon. The night before I wore myself
out practicing Jeet Kwan Do. I kept wondering if I’d find time to sleep. I
came back to Tokyo at 5 p.m. and went straight home because I had a bunch of
important things to do and worked until 2 a.m. Today (yesterday?) was also
really busy. Then I had car trouble and we worked on our video until past 11
p.m. I’m exhausted. My brain feels like it’s totally fried. And yet, after
saying my nightly prayers, I’m writing here!
The video for our new song is interesting. We haven’t edited it yet so I can
’t say too much, but it’s kind of silly but cool.
Tomorrow (today?) is another early day…there’s never enough time for
everything. It’s my constant dilemma.
In any case, isn’t Tanabata [1] great? Even though it was a bit cloudy this
year.
I want to say thank you to all of you who wrote me such wonderful birthday
wishes! I really appreciate it!!
