Many Thanks
I guess it’s old news already, but N.A.G. Vol. 3 was a hit, thanks to
everybody involved! Thank you to all the people who came, too. I think it has
finally become the rocking party that it’s supposed to be. REBEL FAMILIA was
awesome, really moving. They’ve gone beyond the dub genre and have created a
brand new type of music that is totally unique and impossible to categorize.
I really respect them! It seemed like their message really reached the
audience, too. It was a great atmosphere, and REBEL FAMILIA were really
having fun. Best of all, lots of people came to watch!!!
SHAG and DJ MIEKO worked really hard two nights in a row. I felt like even
though it was Vol. 3, there was a really powerful new vibe in the air. We’re
used to the club asia stage now, which feels good. However, playing in the
middle of the mountains (and the rain) is something else entirely. It was one
problem after another…the electricity was messed up, K-Ta’s system got
wiped out (he ended up doing all the percussion live), my violin wouldn’t
produce any sound, the amps didn’t work…it was a total mess. But we had a
good time anyway! If SHAG can play in that situation, we can play anywhere!
Everyone there was really excited and having fun, and I think that SHAG works
well outdoors. It was a great party, thanks to Kamiya, the organizer of the
event, and everyone involved. Thank you to MIEKO, too, who got drawn into the
whole thing! And finally, a big thank-you to myself, for being the man who
brings the clear weather wherever he goes!
