Today is truly worthy of celebration. On this day fifty years ago, Miles
Davis entered the studio and in a marathon recording session created musical
history. His famous works like “Workin’” “Steamin’” and “Relaxin’”
 come from that day.

Even though it’s been a half-century since that its birth, the music he
created then has lost none of its sparkle. Miles, almost thirty at the time,
was filled with a light that must have been god-given. What he produced is
music so timeless that I believe it will remain beautiful even five hundred
years in the future. Just thinking about something so blissful, so eternal,
makes my heart beat faster. I have such immense respect for him!
