The Lakers returned home from a three-game trip Tuesday afternoon, but there
was no rest for the weary

Coach Phil Jackson called for a film session in order to hammer out a
defensive plan for tonight's game against Sacramento. The Kings are tied with
the Lakers for the seventh playoff seeding.

總教練 Phil Jackson 為了能夠排名能在國王隊之上,在今晚的對國王之戰特地設計了
一套防守的對策,國王在昨天取代湖人站上第七種子的名次

So the team went directly from the airplane to its practice facility in El
Segundo for some brief but important classroom time.

所以球隊離開機場後直接前往 El Segundo的戰術講解室,進行短暫卻很重要的防守課程

"We had to get focused on our last meeting with Sacramento and look at some
of the things we did," Jackson said. "It was a real disappointing defensive
effort by our team. So we talked a lot about that."

"我們必須記取上次對上國王比賽中的教訓,並且找出有哪些是我們可以改進的" Jackson
說 " 在上次我們的防守真的事濫透了,所以這次我們對於防守會多加探討"

Sacramento defeated the Lakers, 114-98, on March 14. Three weeks earlier, the
Lakers had defeated Sacramento, 106-85.

沙加緬度在3/14號的比賽靠著堅強的防守以114-98讓湖人吞敗,而在比這早三個禮拜前,湖
人同樣以堅強的防守以106-85擊敗沙加緬度

Having the team convene immediately after a five-hour flight from Boston isn't
typical protocol for Jackson, who would normally give the team a day off in
such a situation. But there are only 13 games remaining and the Lakers are
hanging on for their playoff lives.

在從波士頓回來後的五個小時球隊馬上召集進行會議,其實並不是 Jackson 平常會作的
事情,通常他都會給球隊有一天的休息時間,因為現在距離季後賽只剩13場比賽,湖人為了
能夠緊咬著季後賽的後段班只能這麼做

"Now is crunch time and we've got to do whatever we need to do," Smush Parker
said. "Just because it's Sacramento doesn't make it any bigger than any other
game, but we're trying to make a playoff run, we're trying to get ready for
the playoffs, mentally

"現在是球隊面臨關鍵的時刻,所以我們要盡其所能的去作" Smush Parker 說 "但因為沙加
緬度尚未在其他的比賽中拉開對我們的差距,因此我們要試著把他當作季後賽來打,而且在
心理上我們也準備好要面對季後賽的挑戰了"
