With forward Luke Walton still out because of a sprained right
ankle, Lakers coach Phil Jackson turned to Trevor Ariza for help
Tuesday afternoon.

華頓因為扭傷了右腳踝沒有辦法上場，所以禪師讓亞里沙先發。

The former Westchester High star scored 14 points, grabbed seven
rebounds and played superb defense against Phoenix's Grant Hill.
Or rather he played superb defense against Hill after the first
quarter. Hill scored eight points in the first quarter, but only
four the rest of the way.

亞里沙拿下十四分、八籃板，並且展現一流的防守對抗 Grant Hill，
希爾在第一節拿下八分，後面的三節卻只拿下四分。

"I respect Grant Hill," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "From
my standpoint, Trevor is the kind of guy who can guard him. I
thought he started out slow, but he caught up with him during
the game."

Center Kwame Brown practiced Monday, but was not on the Lakers'
list of active players Tuesday. He is almost recovered from s-
-prains of his left knee and ankle, but he wasn't sound enough
to run with the Suns on Tuesday.

蓋和踝關節差不多好了，但仍不足以在禮拜二的比賽中跟太陽那樣沒命

"I wouldn't put Kwame out there in this game," Jackson said. "
He's not ready. I think it gave him a little idea (Monday) of
how he's doing. "He's doing some more individual things. We'll
resume practice Thursday and get after it."

"Kwame possesses an ability to play people one-on-one in the
post," Jackson said. "Boozer is a guy he would play. The last
time we played Utah, Boozer wasn't there so it didn't matter.
But maybe he can play the other kid who killed us, (Paul) Millsap."

over the New York Knicks prompted a reporter to wonder if the
7-foot center had turned a corner in his recovery from a pair
of ankle surgeries that forced him to miss all of last season.

Jackson wasn't sure about that. "In my physiological analysis of
how that dunk happened, don't read too much into it," Jackson

"The best part is that he's put in so much work," Bryant said

you play harder."

"I'm focused on one thing and one thing only -- winning the
championship," Bryant said after the Lakers moved a season-high
 8 games over .500 at 18-10 and within 1 game of the Pacific
Division-leading Suns.

"We're getting better. It's just about getting better each day,
" Bryant said. "It's good to have games like this. We have a
solid foundation, we really do. When you play against Phoenix,
you have to be solid."

 "When you play against Phoenix, you have to be solid. You can
afford a couple of mistakes here and there but ultimately your
defensive execution has to be there, and your offensive execu-
-tion has to be there. We're able to get it done consistently."
