Is this deja vu all over again for the Lakers?

They hope not. But they're facing a situation eerily familiar to the start of
last season's misfortunes.
他們希望不要，但他們現在面對相似於去年災難的恐怖困境裡。

Last season the Lakers were a season-high 13 games above .500, at 26-13, on
Jan. 17. Then they were struck by injuries to Kwame Brown, Lamar Odom, Luke
Walton, Vladimir Radmanovic, while Chris Mihm already was out for the season,
and they tumbled to a 42-40 finish and another first-round playoff exit.
去年1/17，湖人打出了比五成勝率多出13勝的成績，戰績為26-13。接著他們就遭遇到一
連串的傷兵困擾，由Kwame Brown起頭，接著Lamar Odom, Luke Walton, Vladimir

These Lakers are a season-high 15 games above .500 right now at 26-11. And
they've been struck by injuries again.
本季的湖人再度創造比五成勝率多出15勝的成績，來到26-11。然後他們又再度遭受傷兵
的打擊了。

And while they've been able to play at a high level in the absence of Mihm
(bursitis, right ankle), Sasha Vujacic (sore left ankle, back spasms) and
Radmanovic (sore right ankle), the latest injury, to Andrew Bynum (partially
dislocated kneecap), could be significant enough to shake their foundation.

In the first game since Bynum's injury, the Lakers struggled to beat lowly
Seattle for their seventh straight win.

"We need to accept this as a challenge at this point and not really look at
it as negativity or a setback, even though it is," Derek Fisher said.

Bynum was a big part of what the Lakers did. He was an inside presence,
offensively and defensively.

But this team is much deeper than last year's and may be able to hold the
fort while he's out at least the next eight weeks.

"We're trying to focus on what we can do and the opportunities," Coach Phil
Jackson said. "These are opportunities for people, and you have to make the
most of it when that happens. And that's why we have a bench, and that's why
we have a roster as deep as it is, so you hopefully have guys that can step
up and play.

and sustain the effort and have a playoff spot. But we can't fall apart."

With Bynum out, the Lakers are in the market for another big man. Veteran P.
J. Brown, a 6-foot-11 veteran who played for the Bulls last season, fits the
bill, but his representative said that for the time being, Brown is content
being out of basketball and not trying to return.

"I don't think it's something that he is looking to do," Mark Bartelstein
said by phone. "There are a bunch of people inquiring about him, but there is
nothing (in terms of his interest) right now."

The Lakers host the Suns on Thursday night, and it has the feel of a big
game.
湖人將在主場迎戰太陽，這將是一場大戰。

"We know this is going to be a testy, competitive game because we've gotten
up on them 2-0," Jackson said, and added, "So they are going to try to come
in and give us their best."
Phil說，我們都知道這即將是一場火爆且極為競爭的一場大戰，因為我們已經二連勝他們
了，所以他們將會來到這邊，並且讓我們嚐嚐他們的厲害。
