Kobe Bryant calls Pau to personally welcome him to his new Laker team, and to
declare his desire to win a championship ring together.
Kobe私下打電話給Gasol，並表示非常歡迎他的到來，並且向他宣告他希望和Gasol一起贏
得總冠軍的渴望。

LA doctors while we see his first x-rays:

Q: Pau, the first thing to congratulate you, we imagine that this is happy
and joyous; in Spain the news is having an enormous echo everywhere all
throughout the media. Playing in the Lakers is the maximum wish that you can
ask for?
Q:Pau, 首先要恭喜你，我們能想像這應該是令你高興的事; 這消息在西班牙已經在各地的

Pau: Yes, I am in a cloud. For me is very important, there is no doubt that
Lakers is a franchise leader, historic. I am very flattered to be able to be
part of the team, very excited, with desires to begin to be already with the
team and to adapt me to my new situation. Overnight I have passed to be in a
complicated, difficult situation, to an almost superb situation in being
traded to the Lakers.
Pau:是的，我在一團迷霧中。 這對我很重要，湖人隊無疑的在歷史上是最閃亮的球隊。我

Q: Kobe is delighted with your acquisition. How is your personal relation? It
was seen that you had friendship in the All Star two years ago.
Q: Kobe對你的來到感到很高興。你個人和他的關係如何？你和他似乎在兩年前的全明星

Pau: The two of us respect each other as players and we have a good relation,
nothing beyond to have spoken as many times but I suppose that now being
teammates we will be more intense and deep. This very day Kobe has telephoned
me to welcome me, and to tell me hope that we will win the championship ring
together. We will treat to form a tandem to help the team rise to become a
lot better.
Pau: 兩年前我們都非常的敬佩對方，而且我們有良好的關係，雖然不超過曾經講過幾次話
的關係，但我猜想現在成為隊友後，我們將會變得更緊密且深入。這幾天Kobe也曾經打電
話給我，並告訴我希望我們可以一起攜手奪取總冠軍。我們將一起攜手合作幫助球隊提升
到更高的境界。

Q: Interior Play of the Lakers with Odom and Bynum, which do you believe that
will be your role?
Q: 在湖人和Odom及Bynum一起扛禁區，你認為你所扮演的角色會是什麼？

Pau: I expect that of mine be important, I see the post very well, it is a
system of play in which I enter almost to perfection. I want to accustom them
to me, to feel me comfortable and to do better for my teammates.
Pau: 我預期我的角色將會很吃重，我對低位很在行，在這種系統下我應該可以幾近完美的
融入。我希望可以讓他們習慣我的存在，讓他們覺得我的存在是讓人蘇湖的，並且讓我的
隊友們變得更好。

Q: The aspirations of now: Pass rounds of the playoffs or title?
Q: 你現在的目標：闖過季後賽的幾輪或是直取總冠軍？

Pau: For the time being it is to obtain the best record, the major number of
victories. We are in a very good situation to obtain the best position for
the play-offs; one must take each game as vital, in the current situation a
victory can mark the differences in the final positioning. Once we are in the
play-offs, therefore one must continue playing equal, game to game with a lot
of conviction and a lot of confidence. We have a great staff and aspirations
to all.
Pau:目前最重要的就是拿到最好的戰績，最重要的就是勝利。我們有機會可以在季後賽拿
到最好的席次; 我們必許把每場球看成至關重要，以現在的局勢來看，一場比賽的輸贏就
足以影響最後的排位。一旦我們進入季後賽，因此我們就必須持續的應付局勢，在每一場
比賽中都保持信念以及足夠的自信。我們擁有很棒的球員以及抱負。

Q: You believe to continue in your numbers in the city of Angels?
Q: 你認為你在洛杉磯還會繼續使用原本的背號嗎？

Pau: It is not something that worries me now, the first thing that worries me
is adapting and adjusting to the situation of the team as soon as possible. I
am not going to worry about myself relating to me as the individual, all is
going to be based on to obtain victories and to improve my team. Then I will
find ways to produce and to contribute to the full maximum.
Pau: 現在這個對我來說沒什麼好煩惱的，現在對我最大的擔心是我能否盡快的融入球隊，
以及調整好自己的狀態。我並不對我自己私人的部分感到任何憂心，所有要在意的就是要
如何取得勝利，並且證明我們球隊。然後我會找到方法，並且盡最大的心力做出貢獻。

Q: You leave Memphis, what would you say about your years in Memphis?
Q: 你離開了曼菲斯，你要如何評斷你過去幾年在這邊的生涯？

Pau: A part of me this sad one on a personal level by leaving behind a series
of friends and companions for many years. We have passed together, important
moments we have given all and tried every situation to do better; at times we
have obtained it and, in other moments we didn't. Always I will have a place
in my heart for the city of Memphis that has given me 6 years and a half of
life, contributing a lot to me as the person and of course a player.
Pau: 有一部份讓我感到難過的是我離開了一群朋友以及相處多年的同事。我們一起共度
難關，在很多重要的時刻我們都盡全力的付出，並且在每個時刻我們都試圖做到最好。
有時我們可以達成任務，但其他時刻我們沒有。但我永遠會在我的心中留一塊給我曾經
待過六年以及一半職業生涯的曼菲斯，對於成為這邊的人和一位球員，都讓我獲益良多。

Q: The back injury, how is it?
Q: 背部的傷勢如何？

Pau: The back is better, I have had inconveniences that have set me back the
last few games, but it already has advanced healing enough and in a couple of
days I will be in excellent condition.
Pau: 我的背部好多了，我感到有些困擾，所以我休息了幾場必賽，但現在已經復原得差
不多了，一些日子後，我將會回復到最佳的狀態。

Q: When is your official press release?
Q: 你的官方記者會什麼時候會開？

Pau: It has to be set still, during the next 10 days we will do something. We
have a series of 7 games on the road and one must be already centered in the
results. But maybe some press may be done while we are in Washington.
Pau: 目前仍在安排的階段，不過在未來的10天內我們會做一些事情。我們仍有七場的客場
系列戰，所以我們所要專心的就是在這裡。但我們在華盛頓的時候可能一些消息就會確定
了。

Q: To Live in LA how do you believe that is going to be the change?
Q: 住在洛杉磯，你認為什麼事情會改變的？

Pau: It's going to be different but I don't know yet, how my life is going to
be here, I imagine that very good. Los Angeles is a great city and here has
all more importance, everything in this city is big exaggerated.
Pau: 一定會有事情改變的，只是現在我還不知道是什麼，我的生活未來會如何呢，我想應
該會很不錯。洛杉磯是一個偉大的城市，而且更重要的是，任何在這城市的事情都會非常
擴大。
