I apologise for writing in English,
but because I'm using Telnet at the moment,
writing in English is easier.
(posso scrivere in italiano, pero inglese e` ancora piu` appropriato)

I find this article absurd,
first of all, sure you can say you are from Southeastern Asia,
but what does being gay have anything to do with languages?
Does he know better about languages because he is queer?
I also doubt being from the Southeastern Asia is a reason
good enough to judge the global view of Taiwanese.
There must be a standardised way to teach English,
so if they want to teach the American English, then I believe it's better to
learn the whole package in the American way.
How ridiculous would it be if one spell in the American way and talk like
a brit? That would just make someone a laughing stock in both worlds.

About the Filipino pronunciation, the last time I check that accent is
far away from the upper class. If you want to learn something,
learn the standard way. It's great if we can speak the Queen's English,
or the standard American English, or at least we should try.
Also, don't tell me that those Filipinos cannot understand the
American pronunciation, and if they can, what's the fuss about people
speak to them in the American way?
I don't like American more than the next person,
but I don't think people should be blamed because they sound more
American than Filipino.

我認為這篇文章很荒謬，確實台灣是處於東南亞周圍，但這並不構成我們不學英語的理由
也不能用來批評台灣人的世界觀和英語政策

世界上的英語有很多種(美國、加拿大、英國、澳洲、紐西蘭、南非、新加坡、印度、
菲律賓、非洲某些國、太平洋群島.....)，但我們學習英語就必須學習“最標準且正確”
的英語，而美國是當今世上最強大的國家，所以我相信學習美式英語好過學習其他地方的
英語

如果你要學習某種事物，就要學習最標準的，如果我們可以說英國王室或標準美式英語，
那是很棒的一件事，至少我們應該嘗試學習標準的英語

心得：學英語是世界的潮流和趨勢，無法避免，但也不應忘記我們自身的文化，
      英語只是工具，而不是國際化的萬靈藥，最重要的是要本身有專業知識

我是說我不認為靠來自東南亞就可以構成足夠的理由來批評台灣的世界觀.

我現在裝了kkman可以打中文了. 先謝謝你幫忙翻譯,可是這句翻的差的有點遠.
我是說教英文該有個統一標準的方法,
如果台灣想要教美式英文, 那就該整套都用美式的.
這意思是說去教美式讀法來搭美式拼法本來就是應該的.

我贊成你的心得,但那文章也沒說要加強中文的程度.
我想那人可能本身就是僑生,所以說根本沒有立場也沒有打算要呼籲大家注意中文,
他充其量只是為他東南亞語言不受青睞打抱不平罷了.
可是東南亞地區中文可以通,英文也可以通,
所以到底是誰失去了自己的文化?

推 jdpd:事實上語言沒有什麼標不標準。
推 jdpd:標準的定義也只限於地區性而已
推 jdpd:您也許認為美式標準，但就算是美式英語中
推 jdpd:口音的差異還是很大的... 東西南北各地區
推 jdpd:都不一樣。硬要說SAE最標準嘛，也不盡然
