懂了。（我有用Google搜到你這段文字的出處。）
driving school應該是駕訓班吧，而chain是連鎖店，
Top Driver, Inc.應該是一間企業級的連鎖駕訓班
（美國資本主義真可怕，連駕訓班都搞連鎖服務……）
equity本義是「公正、公平」，差不多有「恰如其分」、「如其應得的」這樣的意思。
所以整句意思是，「福特在2001年七月宣布，他們已在全國最大的連鎖駕訓班
Top Driver, Inc.中佔有相當的地位。」原文後半句還說
「並將會為SUV的車主開發一套駕駛安全的課程。」
至於是車還是服務還是什麼東西佔有相當的地位，我就不曉得囉～
