Top seed falls in Lyon
Nicolas Massu was ousted 6-3 6-4 by Argentine Agustin Calleri in the first
round of the Lyon Grand Prix.
The Chilean, who won the Olympic title in Athens, became top seed when Briton
Tim Henman was forced to withdraw.
But he was never in contention against Calleri, losing in just over an hour
after a series of unforced errors.
Two other seeds also crashed out, Croatia's Mario Ancic retiring against Max
Mirnyi, while Spain's Tommy Robredo lost 6-1 6-4 to Robin Soderling.
因Henman未參賽而成為頭號種子的Massu(Chi), 在第一輪的賽事裡完全不敵Calleri(Arg).
一連串的非受迫性失誤讓他約莫一小時的時間就輸掉了整場比賽.
另兩名中箭的種子還有, Ancic(Cro)退賽讓給Mirnyi(Blr),
Robredo(Spa)則直落二敗給Soderling(Swe).
