節錄 MERCEDESCUP STUTTGART, July 17, 2003 Volandri, Behrend Continue to Roll, Schuettler Holds off Corretja No. 2 seed Guillermo Coria is seeking his second title of 2003. No. 2 seed Guillermo Coria of Argentina wasted no time against Spaniard David Ferrer, only dropping two games to win 6-1, 6-1, and gaining confidence as he improves to a 25-5 record on clay this year. Russian Mikhail Youzhny stopped the run of No. 5 seed Jiri Novak, who won the Gstaad title last week. Youzhny, who won his first ATP title last year in Stuttgart, is seeking to win his first title since that coup. Coria: "I was playing with a lot of confidence out there. Since that tough first set against Mathieu, my confidence has just been building and building." About his style against Ferrer "I really needed to mix up the pace, play some drop shots and move the ball around because Ferrer is so fast on the court. That's one of his strengths, so it was important for me to control the points." About playing Novak or Youzhny "Either guy is going to be a tough match. Novak is really playing well. He showed his confidence by winning in Gstaad last week. Youzhny is the defending champion and proved last year that he knows how to win in Stuttgart." About conditions "It was tough because the conditions were so much different from my opening match with Mathieu. In that match, the court was faster and the balls moved quicker. With the wet conditions, it really slowed things down." -- -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.csie.ntu.edu.tw) ◆ From: 61.230.96.111
