Tie Preview
This is the seventh encounter between these two nations with
Argentina leading the series 4:2. In their last encounter in
1991 Germany defeated Argentina 5-0 in Berlin. Now Argentina
has the home advantage and will hope to emerge victorious.
Playing on slow South American clay courts, the German team
will not have an easy time against the talented clay court
specialists of Argentina. The added advantage of home support
and the fact that Argentina is ranked five places higher than
Germany in the ITF Davis Cup Nations Ranking means that the
hosts go into this tie as favourites.
德國方面原來的主力Hass和Kiefer都沒來，但我想大家都不會小看Schuettler，
尤其他在DC的戰績特別好，去年的紀錄單打3勝1敗。
不過別忘了這裡是阿根廷主場，是我們最擅長的紅土場地。今年還特地移到河床俱樂部，
雖然官方說明是為了增加票源，不過我想企圖心還是很明顯的。希望在Canas退出的
情況下(不知會是誰代替他？)，Nalbandian, Gaudio和Arnord都可以表現出應有的水準。
尤其是雙打，去年小班和Arnord神奇的一役大家都記憶猶新吧 :P
