Miami’s heart — indeed, LeBron James’ ability to take control — was
loudly called into question after Game 5.
熱火核心, 無疑的是呂布的統治力, Game 5落敗時受到廣泛的質疑
But after so many dismal results in this building, the Heat star had to love
the sight of Garden fans filing up the aisles with seven minutes still left.

Miami had finally found a way to puncture the local balloon with tonight’s
98-78 win over the Celtics [team stats], tying the series at 3-3 and sending

He led the attack throughout the night with a 45-point, 19-for-26, 15-rebound

The Celtics came out in particularly cold form — made all the chillier
thanks to one of the Heat’s best defensive turns of the series. Rajon Rondo

players like Paul Pierce [stats] (nine points, 4-for-18) and just two points
from the bench before garbage time ensued, the Celtics were not in shape to
counter a 45-point explosion from anyone, let alone the MVP.

opportunities at the rim.

quarters, but was good enough to absorb every attempted Celtic run for a
74-61 Miami lead.

Wade was finally heard from early in the fourth, which the Heat guard opened
with two straight hoops, including an up-and-under reverse scoop off the open
baseline for a 78-61 lead.

Pierce hit from 20 feet with only his fourth basket of the night, but Shane
Battier’s open 3-pointer gave Miami its biggest lead of the night at 18

a foul line jumper, Wade scored twice as the Celtics retreated with weak

Many wondered when James would uncork an MVP game, and his 30-point,
12-for-14 first half was a nice start. The number could have been higher if
not for his usual uneven (5-for-9) free throw shooting.

The best that could be said of the Celtics at this point was that they only
trailed by 13 points (55-42), thanks largely to what normally would have been
the big half of the night from Rondo, who had 19 points and five assists.
Pierce, in foul trouble, only had two points on 1-for-4 shooting, including
0-for-3 from downtown.

Miami’s 4-0 opening to the third was ominous - made worse when Garnett,

the game was about to go through some wild swings - mostly in Miami’s favor.

James’ shot-making continued to set the pace in a 9-4 run for a 69-54 lead.
The Celtics [team stats] answered with a 5-4 run that included put-backs from
Rondo and Pietrus, and this time James let the clock run down before nailing
a 3-pointer over Pierce - sweet revenge for Game 5.
Pierce and Garnett missed two shots each in the last two minutes — the
latter with a pair of roll-outs at the rum — and James’ closing 20-footer
gave the Heat a 74-61 lead with 12 minutes left to play.
