溫德曼坦言「小皇帝」LeBron James 目前只有一個缺陷，那就是他無力終結比賽。
邁阿密熱火如果沒有 James，他們依舊有望爭奪總冠軍，他們可以清出薪資空間圍繞
Dwyane Wade 和 Chris Bosh 建隊。

Q: Ira, well done in your assessment of LeBron James in your recently
published “Keep or Kick” case for him. As bad as he performed during the
NBA Finals, I still think he is the best and most talented player in the NBA
right now. I would also like to add this: The Heat are not a contender
without LeBron. It is him that makes this team a contender. In other words, I
believe without LeBron, that Wade and Bosh probably cannot contend for a
championship. Conversely, LeBron with either Wade or Bosh are contenders.
問1：雖然 James 在總決賽中表現很爛，我依舊認為他是NBA最棒的球員，也是NBA天賦
最好的球員。如果熱火沒有 James 的話，他們不會成為總冠軍爭奪者，是 James 讓
熱火邁入爭奪總冠軍的行列。如果沒有 James，Wade 和 Bosh 攜手是拿不到總冠軍的。
相反地，James 搭檔 Wade 或者 Bosh，就足以讓熱火登上巔峰。
LeBron James is truly that good. He is a unique and special player. I just
think he needs to get more confident on the primetime stage. What do you
think? — Habib.
James 真的非常優秀，他是獨一無二的。我認為他只是需要更有信心，你的看法呢？
A: I think LeBron has conquered every demon in his NBA career but one, the
ability to close out the final series of the season. It is a question that
again will linger until June. But you analogy is somewhat flawed, because
without LeBron, then Wade and Bosh would find a roster with greater cap space
to address other roster flaws. For now, it’s all moot. The Big Three aren’t
going anywhere.
溫德曼：我認為LeBron的職業生涯進展到目前這個階段，他只有一個難題沒有解決了，
那就是終結賽季最後一個系列賽的能力，等到6月份，這個問題將再度成為熱門話題。
But you analogy is somewhat flawed, because without LeBron, then Wade and
Bosh would find a roster with greater cap spaceto address other roster flaws.
For now, it’s all moot. The Big Three aren’tgoing anywhere.

me or did this team come two wins shy of a world championship? What are these
“fans” smoking? After all the adversity they went through all year long,
they still managed to pull together. — Christopher.
問2：為什麼那麼多人批評熱火總教練 Erik Spoelstra 呢？熱火上季距離總冠軍只差

A: I look at it as the backup-quarterback syndrome, where there is this
notion that there has to be someone better. I don’t get it, but because
this is sports, and because it’s not as if we’re talking about any type
of political recall (I’m pretty sure only Pat Riley gets a vote in this
case), I don’t see the downside in letting those who want to vent to vent.
I’d rather deal with this issue (non-issue?) now than when games are being
played.
溫德曼：總是會有人認為熱火在教練位置上還可以有更好的選擇，這就是職業運動。
The reality is when the Heat hit a rough patch (and every NBA team does),
I’m sure there will be questions about LeBron James, as well. In Erik
Spoelstra, the Heat have one of the brightest young coaches in the NBA.

Q: With the hurricane and so much else going on, don’t these players realize
how selfish they look? — Edwin.

A: I’m not sure I’d equate natural disasters to the lockout. In fact,
I think Billy Hunter, the union and the players have done a very good job
of making it clear that no one is crying poverty. Unlike during the 1998
lockout, there have been few, if any, foot-in-mouth moments from the players’
side.
溫德曼：實際上，我認為與1998年停擺期間相比，Billy Hunter、球員工會以及球員們

Q: What are the odds there is an NBA season? — Stuart.

A: Very strong. I only see a few missed games, if any. They just haven’t
reached ultra urgency yet. This is a league that is all about the fourth
quarter. We’re still in the third quarter.

Q: The Heat should never trade Chalmers. He is an important part of the Heat
team and should be allowed to be starting point guard. — Fred.

控球後衛。
A: It’s not about “trading.” It’s about deciding whether to match an
outside offer if another team pushes the envelope during free agency. As
of now, Mario essentially is the starting point guard by default
溫德曼：對於熱火而言，不是交易的問題，而是決定是跟進 Chalmers 得到的邀請合約。
就目前的情況而言，Chalmers 是熱火默認的先發控衛。
