Viewers of MTV Asia would have seen Machi and Vanness Wu perform together
at the MTV Asia Awards 2004. The F4 member is close friends with Machi so
it is no surprise that they are performing together again at the MTV Buzz
Asia Concert.
Machi stands uniquely on it's own as the first independent Hip Hop unit in
Taiwan. The Machi philosophy is the embodiment of brotherhood, dedicated to
the education and proliferation of Hip Hop and sophisticated urban street
culture through music, art and dance.
Over 10 years ago, Jeffrey Huang had a vision to introduce Hip Hop music to
Asia. Jeffrey grew up in Los Angeles, and he brought along with him the hip
hop culture of dancing, rapping, DJing and graffiti to Asia through his crew
LA Boyz in 1991. Jeffrey started LA Boyz along side with his brother Stanley
Huang and his cousin Steve Lin. The LA Boyz are the pioneers of hip hop
culture in greater China, soon inspired and spear headed a prevailing trend,
which eventually became a culture and a way of life in many parts of Asia.
A few years ago, Jeff decided to start Machi with the aims of creating
original hip hop music with the intentions of educating and proliferating
the spirit of Hip Hop through music, art and dance. With the establishment
of Machi, Jeff hopes to expand the artistic creativity in Asia. Jeff feels
that Asia has an immense potential as a source of talent for the realm of
Hip-Hop.
Wang Lee Hom

Born in Rochester, New York in 1976, Wang Lee Hom pursued music academically
with an honors degree in Music at Williams College and was a Diploma Candiate
in Professional Musician at the Berklee College of Music. With his unique
multi-cultural background and abilities as an all-rounded artist, Lee Hom
quickly secured his place in the Taiwan music scene with his debut album
titled Love Rival Beethoven in 1995.
Since then Lee Hom has released countless of albums, dabbled in acting roles
in movies like Moon Child, China Strike Force, The Avenging Fist, and
appeared in various TV commercials. In 2002, he was also appointed as a youth
ambassador to Nepal on behalf of the Untied Nations.
