Alanis Sports Dancing Shoes For New Video, Plans AOL Debut
Alanis Morissette
Alanis Morissette and her boyfriend, actor Dash Mihok, put on their
dancing shoes for the video for her new single, "So Pure."
Morissette once again assumed the director's chair for the clip,
which sees the couple in period garb utilizing swing, tap, Latin,
modern, and free-style moves while dancing their way from the 40s
to the 90s. The video was shot over two days in Toronto, and featured
the input of choreographer Kevin O'Day, who has danced with the
Joffrey Ballet and Twyla Tharp.
The single will be hitting radio on June 29, and the video will
debut on June 25 on America Online. The television debut should
come shortly thereafter.
Alanis is still in Europe with her "Junkie Tour"...

Alanis Morissette, singer, director, and
time traveler, will be dancing her way
through six decades in the video for her new
single "So Pure," which is expected to debut
on America Online later this week before
showing up on TV screens.
Morissette, who also directed the video for
"Unsent" (and co-directed her "Head Over
Feet" video from 1995's Jagged Little Pill), and
actor Dash Mihok (The Thin Red Line) wear
period customes to run through dances from
the 1940s to the '90s.
Choreographed by Kevin O'Day (noted for his
work with the Twyla Tharp dance company),
the video sees Morissette and Mihok swing
dancing, ballroom dancing, and tap dancing.
The couple also try their hand at salsa and
modern dance before ending up freestyling in a
'90s club. "So Pure" hits radio airwaves on
June 29.
