這首 Circle 是 Edie Brickell 1986 年的作品。
Edie Brickell 常跟 Rickie Lee Jones 被歸類為童音派民謠歌手﹐
兩者聲音類似﹑曲風類似﹐但是 Edie Brickell 多了點搖滾味。《真的只有一點》
Shooting Roberbands At The Star 是 Edie Brickell 的首張專輯﹐
也是她的成名專輯﹐此後又發過兩張專輯﹐在市場上都沒有引起什麼波瀾。
這張 Shooting Roberbands At The Star 最出名的歌大概是
曾經到達 Billboard NO. 7 的 What I Am﹐
最近也被 Aretha franklin 取樣至 A Rose Is Still A Rose 這首歌中。
What I Am 也是首不錯的歌﹐但是從以前到現在都比較偏愛這首講朋友的 Circle﹐
發現 Circle 或 Edie Brickell 都是不經意的﹐
但是帶給我的印象卻都很深刻。
Circle 是首清淡小品﹐配器簡單﹐主奏只有一把吉他﹐
歌唱情感真摯﹐連當時其實不甚懂歌詞的我都反覆再三。
Edie Brickell 現在是以前著名二人團 Simon & Garfunkel 中
團員 Paul Simon 的老婆﹐
從 1994 出了 Picture Perfect Morning 之後就都沒聽說她在作什麼了﹐
Picture Perfect Morning 中的 Good Times 有一陣子也是詢問度很高的歌。
她所有的三張專輯都已經被環球中價了﹐好像都是美版吧。
