Krall, Badu lead New Orleans Jazz Fest
NEW YORK (Billboard) - Erykah Badu, the Allman Brothers, Diana Krall,
Ray Charles, Sting, Lyle Lovett, Lenny Kravitz and Ani DiFranco are
among the top acts scheduled to perform at the annual New Orleans
Jazz & Heritage Festival, which takes place April 28-30 and May 4-7.
The festival also boasts performances from hometown acts such as
Harry Connick Jr., Dr. John, the Neville Brothers and the Rebirth
Brass Band. New Orleans acts will also be showcased in the festival's
evening concert series, which will include tributes to New Orleans
jazz divas Liilian Boutte, Cookie Gabriel and Germaine Bazzle.
Among other artists who will appear throughout the event are Chick
Corea and Gary Burton, John Hiatt, Jimmy Cliff, the Temptations, the
Staple Singers, King Sunny Ade & His African Beats, Bela Fleck & the
