剛剛看到一篇新聞，
Garbage 女主唱 Shirley Manson 的舊專輯要重新發行了
Garbage Singer's Early Work Released
The 1987 album from Garbage singer
Shirley Manson's previous band
Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie, Good
Deeds and Dirty Rags, is slated for
release July 13 by Razor & Tie
Records. The album features the UK
hits "Open Your Arms," "Goodbye Mr.
Mackenzie" and "Goodwill City," as
well as five bonus cuts: "Amsterdam,"
"Here Comes Deacon Brodie," "Calton
Hill," "Secrets" and "Knocking on Joe."

作了 Nirvana 那張很有名的 Nevermind 的製作人 Butch Vig
《Butch Vig 是個狠角色﹐曾製作過 Smashing Pumpkins﹑Sonic Youth 等》
跟另外兩個製作人和一個女 vocal Shirley Manson 組了個團叫做 Garbage﹐
Garbage 應該算是一個 pop-oriented 的另類團﹐
團員有四人﹐Butch Vig 負責扭曲﹑切割的音效和鼓﹐
Steve Marker 負責噪音 feedback﹑sample 和 guitar﹐
Shirley Manson 負責寫詞和演唱﹐
另外 Duke Erikson 負責 guitar﹑bass 及 keyboard﹐
他們這個團比較出名的是他們的錄音室工程﹐
最複雜的時候一首歌可以做了一百多軌然後混在一起﹐
他們的特色是常常在歌曲中會出現扭曲﹑切割的音效﹐恰到好處的噪音﹐
感覺真的很過癮。
