在亂買的過程中，有時候也會找到一些自己很滿意的作品。
Jonatha Brooks 的 10 Cents 就是其中之一，
買這張專輯大概是兩年前的事情，
也許當時手邊堆了太多 CD，所以也沒細聽就擺在一旁，
直到前幾天買到那張 Lilith Fair 的 Promo，
又在上面聽到她的歌，才又把專輯挖出來重聽。
Jonatha Brooke 也是 folk based 的歌手，
稍帶點爵士味，專輯後半或多或少都帶些這種感覺，
有時候也有些另類的感覺，像是 Glass Half Empty，
曲風大概遊移在這些中間，
不會很特意的讓你覺得她似乎是在賣弄她駕馭歌曲的能力，
她的旋律也還不錯，不會感覺很陳腐，
像是最近剛買的 Melanie Doane 就會覺得好像在聽千篇一律的東西，
讓人有些厭倦，（只是初步的感覺）
此外 Jonatha Brooks 的歌詞方面是讓人有些看不懂啦，
據說她會寫詩，詞的感覺是相當不錯，雖然好像也是講男女關係比較多，
但是用詩比喻起來似乎都比較美， :p
我相當喜歡專輯的第一首歌 Secrets And Lies，
雖然專輯中段有些 low，沒那麼讓人驚喜，
但是我覺得整張其實都還不錯聽。
她在單飛之前本來組了個團叫做 Story，
後來 1995 年簽入 MCA 發了 Plumbs，
10 Cent Wings 是第二張專輯，
大概因為沒紅，據說已經被解約，
現在成立自己的公司，今年發了一張現場專輯。
