不太認識 Michelle Shocked，
她是我在唱片行打工太無聊時的發現，
但是我覺得還蠻值得的發現
Mercury Poise 是她的精選輯，
收錄的是 1988-1995 發行的三張專輯
Short Sharp Shocked、Captain Swing 和 Arkansas Traveler 中的歌，
Polygram 的側標中提到了這張精選包括了
『Short Sharp Shocked 的民謠、搖滾、酒館音樂，Captain Swing 的
藍調與 R&B，到 Arkansas Traveler 的草根及吟唱式音樂』
聽起來是很特別，幾乎是每首曲子都換個風格，也都還不錯聽。
剛才到 Rolling Stone 的站翻了翻，
Rolling Stone 給她每張專輯的分數都非常低，
批評她沒有才華，說她的音樂裝模作樣，只有娛樂價值，
我是不太清楚，這種指控實在是蠻嚴重的。
不過 SPIN 的意見似乎稍微不同，給了這張精選輯 7 分。
