第一次看到 MTV 報導這個消息時，有點 shock 吧，
因為以 Sheryl Crow 只出道六年的經歷來說，
開這種 Friends 的名單真是奢侈，
Eric Clapton、David Bowie、Chrissie Hynde、Stevie Nicks、
Sarah McLachlan、Dixie Chicks，
除了 Dixie Chicks 是晚輩、Sarah McLachlan 算是儕輩，其他都是前輩，
不過請這麼多有名的前輩其實也有些不好，到時候誰要作壓軸呢？
主人要是壓不住陣腳可就難看了。 :p
據說現在只有 Eric Clapton 是確定的，
呵呵，他們還真是能互相幫忙。

Sheryl Crow To Play Central Park With Eric Clapton, Others

Central Park show live
Sheryl Crow and Eric Clapton are the first two acts confirmed for an
all-star free concert to be held Sept. 14 in New York's Central
Park. The concert will be broadcast live on FOX-TV, radio
and the Web.
The concert will be held at Central Parks' East Meadow
from 8-10 p.m. (EDT), and will be
underwritten by American Express. "It's not really a
concert," said Parks Department spokesperson
Robert Lawson. "It's more of a broadcast on the
radio and the Internet." Billed as the cumbersome
"American Express Brings You Central Park In
Blue: Sheryl Crow and Friends," Lawson did allow
that one of Crow's "friends" would be Clapton.
"Sheryl performed at Eric's Crossroads concert this
spring, so of course he wanted to return the favor,"
said Clapton's spokeswoman. "The two remain very
good friends, despite their former relationship."
Other acts rumored to have been asked to
participate include Sarah McLachlan, Chrissie
Hynde, the Dixie Chicks and Stevie Nicks, whose
record Crow is co-producing. None have been
confirmed, however.
American Express representatives will distribute
some 25,000 tickets at selected sites in all five of
New York's boroughs after Labor Day through a
lottery system. The Parks Department says you
don't have to be an American Express cardholder to
be eligible -- anyone interested will have the
opportunity to play an instant game, and winners will
receive two tickets each.
