這樣真是有些委屈這些大明星;
沒看到對演唱會負面的評價,大概是這些歌手都太有名了,
媒體對能湊成這樣的陣容都感覺到很神奇。
最後參加這場演唱會的有 Eric Clapton、Keith Richards、Chrissie Hynde、
Stevie Nicks、Sarah McLachlan 及 Dixie Chicks。
當天的演唱曲目:
A Change
Anything But Down
Can't Cry Anymore
Leaving Las Vegas
It don't hurt w/ harmonica
Angel w/ Sarah McLachlan
Sweet Child O'Mine
Am I getting through parts I&II
Everyday is a winding road
Strong Enough w/ Dixie Chicks

Crow takes flight in Central Park
NEW YORK (InfoBeat) - The Dixie Chicks. Sarah McLachlan. Stevie
Nicks. Chrissie Hynde. Keith Richards. Eric Clapton. With friends
like these, you might think Sheryl Crow would be lost among the big
names she invited to play with her in Central Park. But from the
get-go, it was obvious it was Crow's night to fly.
With the evening's first hour reserved for the Central Park crowd
only (FOX picked up the TV broadcast at 9 p.m.), Crow took control
right away. She pranced onto the stage, surveyed the crowd and
immediately launched into "A Change Would Do You Good." She followed
with hits "Anything But Down," "Can't Cry Anymore" and "Leaving Las
Vegas." It was obvious she owned the stage as she paced back and
fourth in her slinky red velvet pants and leather top. Her songs were
full of energy and life, and her strategic line up of old and new
material worked nicely together, continually building momentum.
McLachlan was the first friend to join Crow on stage. As McLachlan
played piano, the duo performed the Canadian singer-songwriter's hit
"Angel," a stark change from the upbeat hand clapping tunes Crow
previously laid out. The audience - Crow included - was entranced by
McLachlan as she belted out the intense lyrics with her heavenly
voice. Crow then finished out the non-televised portion of the event
with the Guns N' Roses classic "Sweet Child O' Mine" and the Led
Zeppelin-inspired "Am I Getting Through."
To kick off the televised portion of the event, Crow received another
introduction by actor Bill Murray, who dubbed her the "Raven of
Rock," and the audience was treated to a friends-intensive,
full-throttle rock show. Clad in black leather, The Dixie Chicks
kicked things off by joining Crow on her hit "Strong Enough."
McLachlan's drummer and husband Ash Sood joined in on the bongos for
"Everyday Is A Winding Road." Stevie Nicks, whose powerful presence
on stage seemed to usher in the rain, performed the Fleetwood Mac
classic "Gold Dust Woman." The Dixie Chicks returned to add some
down-home country flavor to the Bob Dylan-penned "Mississippi,"
followed by Chrissie Hynde, whose mere presence returned the event to
its rock roots, joined Crow on "If It Makes You Happy." Keith
Richards wowed the crowd with two numbers, while McLachlan's returned
for "The Different Kind."
One of the highlights of the night started inauspiciously as Eric
Clapton modestly took the stage, guitar in hand. From there, Clapton
launched into the Cream classic "White Room" and followed with Jimi
Hendrix's "Little Wing." With '60s-inspired psychedelic images
swirling on the monitors behind the stage, Clapton's intense guitar
playing echoed throughout the park. Crow, upon whom the high-energy
set appeared to be taking its toll, took a seat, relaxed, and soaked
in his soulful grooves.
Crow closed the show with "There Goes The Neighborhood" which turned
Central Park into a stop on the Lilith Fair as her former Lilith
touring partners, McLachlan, Hynde and The Chicks, surprised her on
stage, and the entire cast then returned to the stage for the final
closing number.
The show, sponsored by American Express, was a benefit for the
Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
