Sheryl Crow to perform at benefit show
(Launch) - Sheryl Crow will perform at the second annual benefit for
Project ALS Monday at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Project
ALS is a local charity devoted to raising awareness and funds for
research for ALS, or Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which is also
known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Ben Stiller ("There's Something About
Mary") and Kristen Johnston ("3rd Rock From The Sun") will host the
gala and the evening will include a VIP reception followed by dinner,
music by Crow, a live auction and comedy by Dennis Miller. One of the
evening's highlights will be the presentation of the second annual
David Niven Award. The recipients of this year's award are Bryan
Lourd, Kevin Huvane, Richard Lovett and David O'Connor, who are all
partners of Creative Artists Agency. The award is in recognition of
their outstanding commitment to finding effective treatments and a
cure for ALS, as well as for raising awareness about ALS.
