Sinead O'Connor to release album June 13
(Launch) - Sinead O'Connor, who first came to prominence 10 years ago
with her version of the Prince-penned song "Nothing Compares 2 U,"
will be releasing "Faith and Courage," her first album for Atlantic
Records, on June 13. The first single from "Faith and Courage" will
be "No Man's Woman," which will be sent to CHR, Adult Alternative and
Hot AC radio stations. When asked if her cover of "Nothing Compares 2
U" has the same significance for her as a song she herself wrote,
O'Connor said, "I obviously have a lot of associations with that
song, It has enormous emotional significance for me." The song is
from 1990's "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got," which now stands at
double platinum status with more than 2 million copies sold.
