Veruca Salt to make its return
(Launch) - With just one original member left, Veruca Salt, the band
that produced the hit "Seether," will soon have a new home with
Beyond Records. Louise Post - the only remaining member of the band
that once boasted singer/guitarist Nina Gordon, her brother Jim
Shapiro on drums and bassist Steve Lack - tells Rolling Stone that
she'll soon be signing a deal with Beyond that will not only give the
band a home, but make her a label executive and offer the opportunity
to create her own label. "I feel like basically I've been given a
whole new and wonderful life," Post tells the magazine. A
spokesperson for the label confirms that the deal is nearly done and
that a new, as of yet untitled Veruca Salt album, will be released
early in the New Year.
