"REVERB," the weekly HBO music series spotlighting superstar and emerging
talent, returns for its third season this September, with a lineup that
includes Beck, Everlast, Hole, Kid Rock, Alanis Morissette and Sugar Ray.
Slated for 13 hour-long editions, each featuring multiple artists, "REVERB"
kicks off the new season on Tuesday, Sept. 21 (11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET),
followed by other shows on subsequent Tuesdays at the same time.
"REVERB" captures the energy and spontaneity of live rock 'n' roll by taking
viewers on stage, backstage, and into the audience at some of the nation's
premier venues. Joining artists on tour, without special staging or second
takes, "REVERB" creates an unfiltered, authentic and intimate experience
where the viewer becomes part of the live show dynamic between
artist and fan.
"REVERB" caught Morissette at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, Calif. April 6
during the current tour for her second album, the precedent-setting and
critically acclaimed Maverick Recording Co. release "Supposed Former
Infatuation Junkie." On tour for his critically acclaimed "Mutations," Beck
was captured live at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles May 8. And when Hole's
Courtney Love shook the foundations of Philadelphia's Electric Factory May 15
with songs from the hit album "Celebrity Skin," "REVERB" was there.
Other acts scheduled to appear this season are Built to Spill, Vic Chesnutt,
Collective Soul, Imperial Teen, Marvelous 3, Staind, Wilco and Brian Wilson.
"REVERB" also visited the day-long Tibetan Freedom Concert in Alpine Valley,
Wis., on June 13.
Taped in the nation's leading venues and clubs, the series' third season will
also visit such legendary sites as New York's Irving Plaza, Detroit's State
Theatre, Milwaukee's Modjeska Theatre and Chicago's Rosemont Theatre,
with production continuing through the fall.
A joint effort of HBO and the Warner Music Group, "REVERB" features a wide
variety of artists from major and independent record labels. The first two
seasons of "REVERB" included Bad Religion, Bend Folds Five, Cheap Trick,
Paula Cole, Cornershop, Everclear, Fastball, Foo Fighters, Fountains of Wayne,
Goldfinger, Green Day, Ben Harper, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Morphine,
Pavement, Primus, Rocket from the Crypt, Sebadoh, Semisonic, Smash Mouth,
Soul Coughing, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Third Eye Blind and Scott Weiland.
