我就是用 FTP download 下來的 RedHat-5.2, 不但可裝而且
可以用光碟直接可機來裝. 以下簡述整個步驟:
1. 用 ncftp -a -R ftp.site:/redhat/path/i386/* 抓整個目錄.
2. 將所有的檔設為可執行 chmod -R 555 *
3. 製作光碟的 Image 檔
mkisofs -a -b images/boot.img -c misc/boot/boot.cat
-L -o /tmp/cdimage -R -T .
4. 燒錄光碟 (我用的是 HP7200i, 模擬成 SCSI)
cdrecord -v speed=2 dev=0,0,0 /tmp/cdimage
5. 大功告成.
