比爾今晚(24日)雖然成為中止統一獅17連勝的敗戰投手，不過有幸參與刷新台灣職棒
最長紀錄的17連勝，比爾還是認為：「很光榮。」


自從比爾來台灣加盟統一後，帶領年輕的獅隊打出連勝，比爾賽前親吻鳳梨成為獅隊連勝
之旅的象徵，比爾甚至還被獅迷奉為「新精神領袖」，但是最後關頭，還是輸掉這場關鍵
戰役。


這段17連勝有些瘋狂，比爾也說：「非常刺激(exciting)，而且這已是我職業生涯中，
參與最長的連勝紀錄，我也感覺很光榮。」

賽後比爾認為：「誠泰COBRAS打出一場好球，隊友已經盡力了，17連勝中止，就是另一段
連勝的開始，相信獅隊可以反彈回升(We can rebound from this.)。」

賽前40局都沒被打全壘打，這場比賽第3局就挨轟，比爾也無可奈何：「都沒有失投，
而且前幾場都沒被打，我能說什麼？」

統一在17連勝中，多少有些運氣成分，這場關鍵敗戰，獅隊也輸在運氣，7局下王傳家
揮出滾地球打到二壘壘包，讓游擊手路易即使站位不錯，還是無法處理，似乎運氣也沒
站在統一這邊。
