i said more than 5 times that that was a wrong swing mechanics, but

that was not his normal hitting method.  point out if i am wrong.

you probably have no clue why pitchers and catchers like to

throw balls outside more often than inside or middle zone.

this is mainly becasuse the bat speed a player can generate

is slower when facing a ball outside.  that explains why

the number of long balls to the oppisite side is always fewer.

in other word, the first reason for a team to encourage

pitchers to throw balls outside is to decrease of prossibility

of long balls that hurt the team more.


additionally, when a ball is far from your eye, that raises

difficulty to hit the ball well.  that's why ball outsides is hard

to handle.


so, back to your another argument : "

my understanding is that you said CPBLers hit poorly when facing

ball outside in games (correct me if i am wrong).  in this situation,

if you are a smart catcher, you difinitely encourage your

pitchers to thow ball outside more often when a hitter can't hit

those balls well.  back to the hitter, if his opponent knows

he does poorly facing ball outside, what balls you think

he will face most of the time and what outcome it would be??

so, if you want to survive or thrive, the only thing you can do

is to improve your ability to hit those ball well, getting rid of

this weakness as soon as possible or not as bad as possible.

and by what??  of course by lots of right practices.

or you give me an idea rather than by practicing.

i really like to listen.
