The Blackburn Rovers and Irish winger was sitting in a fast food bar before
boarding his mid-afternoon flight back to Dublin.
Talks between Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers representatives over a possible
transfer of the player from Ewood Park to Anfield were held this morning.
The outcome of those talks is not known yet, but it is believed that a fee in
the range of ￡15m would secure the player. Gerard Houllier may be prepared
to offer money plus a player exchange in a bid to cut the Anfield wage bill.
