Group A
A組


Team Dynamic is the only North American team in Group A and they have some
big competition. With their biggest accomplishment being a third place finish
at MLG Raleigh, they have a lot to prove at this tournament. One of the first
games at IPL 5 will be a grudge match against Azubu Blaze, and perhaps it
will give Dynamic the drive to squeeze out some early victories.


    Team Dynamic 在A組裡是唯一一支北美隊伍，而他們將有個莫大的挑戰。隨著他們完
成他們最大的成就：在MLG Raleigh獲得第三名，他們在這個比賽還有很多事情必須證明。

    但不幸地在IPL5第一場就碰上Azubu Blaze，不過也可能因此激發Team Dynamic的潛能

Team WE has not really gotten the chance to prove themselves in the
international scene yet, having only placed well in Chinese tournaments.
However, many professional players have noticed how one member in particular,
Weixiao, is extremely strong and possibly one of the best AD carries in the
world. Maybe this time Weixiao will be able to carry his team to the top
three of an international LAN.

    Team WE 僅在中國賽事奪得佳績，卻尚未有機會在國際舞台證明自己。然而，許多職
業玩家注意到一個特別的玩家：微笑，一個極為強大且可能是世界頂尖的AD carry之一。

    或許這次微笑將可以帶領他的隊伍成為國際前三名。


Despite Azubu Blaze’s massive success, this will be the first time at an
international tournament they will be playing with their new top, Flame.
Interestingly, TPA all-star Toyz recently mentioned in an AMA that the team
he feared the most was Azubu Blaze when Reapered was still a member, saying,
“We scrimmed with them more than ten times and we didn't win any, even when
we were twenty kills ahead.” Now Azubu Blaze will look to strike that same
fear into their competitors with Flame instead.

    Azubu Blaze儘管有著巨大的成功，但這是他們第一次和他們的新上路：Flame，一起
參加的國際賽事。有趣的是，TPA的Toyz最近在他的AMA裡提到他最害怕的隊伍就是上路是

Fnatic is a team that has been around for a long time, constantly readjusting
with roster changes. However, they are currently riding a wave of success
since their last change, most recently coming out of a first place finish at
Dreamhack. Most of their success has been against EU teams, and so the real
challenge will be if they can stand up to the Asian powerhouses that have
been sweeping international tournaments since the summer.

    Fnatic 是一支不斷變更隊員的老隊伍。他們最近在Dreamhack奪冠，氣勢正旺。他們
非常成功地擊敗EU team，但真正的挑戰是他們能否能立足於從夏天席捲國際賽事的眾亞洲
強權之間。

Group B
B組

Not only does Group B feature two North American teams, it also showcases
both teams from Counter Logic Gaming. The group itself does have the
potential for upsets to occur, however most people have this one pegged for a
double CLG victory.


    B組不但擁有兩支北美隊伍，同時也有兩隊CLG。雖然尚有變數發生，但大部分的人
相信兩支CLG隊伍將會出線。


CLG Prime failed to qualify for the tournament in the North American
qualifiers and proceeded to win the fan-voted Wildcard qualifiers, taking out
teams such as Dignitas and Quantic Gaming. It is unlucky they were placed in
a group with their European counterparts; especially because they do not have
the best track record against them. Recently they were knocked out of MLG
Dallas by CLG.EU, however they did manage to make it further into Dallas than
any other North American team. Their acquisition of Locodoco has been a good
move so far, and if they have managed to properly learn to counter certain
Korean strategies from him, they could show some good results in Las Vegas.


    CLG Prime在北美預賽的資格爭奪賽中失敗了，但隨即在粉絲外卡投票中擠掉Dignitas
和 Quantic Gaming取得外卡資格。不過很不幸地他們與自己的歐洲同行被排到相同的組別

Team FeaR has always had a strong online presence; however their offline
performances have always been lacklustre. On the way to qualifying for IPL5
they actually beat CLG Prime 2-1, and thus have shown that they have the
potential to take games off every top team. Yet, they have never played
against CLG EU in any competitive capacity which could cause them problems if
they do not properly react to their strategies. In a recent interview
Aphromoo explained his style is to exploit the opposing team’s mistakes,
however at offline events mistakes are few and far between. So whilst no one
can doubt the team’s obvious skill, it is whether or not they can finally
translate this to good LAN results.

    Team FeaR在線上賽一直很強，但他們的線下賽卻持續低迷不振。他們在IPL5資格賽中
以2-1擊敗CLG Prime，展現他們有潛力擊敗任何一支頂尖隊伍。但如果他們沒有成功執行
它們的戰術，對CLG EU將難以有競爭力。

    最近的訪談中，Aphromoo 解釋他的風格是利用對手的失誤反擊，但在線下賽中，失誤
是並不多見的。雖然沒有人會懷疑隊伍的出色的能力，但最終還是取決於他們是否能將此

CLG EU is the definite favorite for group B and with a top three finish at
their last three tournaments they certainly have the results to back it up.
They already have a substantial amount of practice against CLG Prime, and
given FeaR’s recent tournament performance they shouldn’t pose too much of
a threat. However IceLanD could potentially be the team which could upset the
European powerhouses, simply due to their mystery. However, after already
proving that they can take games off the top Korean teams, CLG EU can
certainly make it far in their group and into the playoffs.


    CLG EU是B組最受看好的一隊，因為他們有過去的成績支持：三個大型賽事成績都在前
三名。他們已經和CLG Prime做了大量的練習。

    而以最近FeaR在比賽中的表現來看，CLG EU認為其不會構成太大的威脅。IceLanD則成了
歐洲強權們的不確定因素，因為其隊伍還蒙著神秘面紗。

    不過自從他們證明他們可以從韓國隊手中拿下勝利之後，CLG EU相信他們可以在他們
的組別中出線並且進入準決賽(playoffs)。



After winning all their games in the Hong Kong qualifiers team IceLanD has
already proven that they have skill. They were actually voted into the
qualifiers by fans so their ability to beat the more established invited Hong
Kong teams was no easy feat. They recently also took a game off Taipei
Assassins for the IEM Cologne qualifiers. However their experience out of
Hong Kong is fairly limited which could be problematic for them. IceLanD is
definitely the wildcard in this group, however if the other teams have
already counted them out as competition they could bring some interesting
strategies to Las Vegas.

    IceLanD 在贏了所有香港預賽後證明了他們的實力。事實上他們是被粉絲投票獲得進
入預選賽，所以他們能夠擊敗其他被邀請的香港隊伍是一件不易的創舉。他們甚至在
IEM Cologneh從TPA手中奪下一勝過。不過他們經驗不足可能會是他們的隱憂。IceLanD很
明顯地是這個組別的外卡隊伍，不過如果有其他隊伍已經針對他們，那他們可能會在
Las Vegas帶來有趣的戰術。

Group C
C組

Group C is perhaps the most open group at IPL. Due to form slumps,
inexperience and last minute team changes, all four teams have something to
prove in Las Vegas. IPL 5 will be Meat Playground’s second LAN tournament,
following up from MLG Raleigh where they failed to win a game. However, they
showed potential by defeating Chinese powerhouse Invictus Gaming in the IPL
online qualifiers. They may be the underdog of the group, but Meat Playground
’s unknown element makes them capable of throwing in a few surprises.

    C組可能是IPL最open的組別(不知道怎麼翻....)，隊伍崩壞、經驗不足以及臨陣換將
，這四個隊伍都必須在Las Vegas證明自己。

    在MLG Raleigh輸了比賽之後，IPL5 是 Meat Playground第二個LAN賽事。他們在用擊
敗中國強權:iG證明自己的實力。他們可能會是這個組別的underdog，不過
Meat Playground的不確定因素可能會導致他們丟出一些驚喜。




Team SoloMid is one of the most popular and until recently, most successful,
League of Legends teams in the world. TSM won the Season 2 North American
regional finals and are the reigning IPL champions. Yet the TSM of late has
been unable to reproduce their best form and were underwhelming at the Season
2 Championships, MLG Dallas and recent online events. In peak condition TSM
is a formidable opponent, but based upon recent results they may have to look
beyond IPL to find solace from their form woes in Las Vegas.


    Team SoloMid 是世界上非常熱門且最近非常成功的LOL隊伍。TSM過去贏得S2北美地區
的決賽，又是IPL4的冠軍，不過他們在S2、MLG Dallas以及最近的線上賽表現不盡理想，
甚至無法重現的他們的最強陣容。

    在他們巔峰的時期下，TSM是一個令人畏懼的對手，但是根據最近的表現，他們必須在
Las Vegas有所突破才行。


Curse EU are the European representatives in group C. In the recent Tales of
the Lane tournament they defeated heavy favorites Moscow 5 2-0 in the
semi-finals en route to victory, but followed up with a disappointing
performance at Dreamhack. Furthermore, support player Piotr “superAZE”
 Prokop has been substituted for Jordan “Patoy” Blackburn, a last minute
change which will undoubtedly hurt Curse EU’s bot lane synergy. Curse EU has
the talent to do well in Las Vegas, but must overcome their consistency
problems.


    Curse EU是歐洲在C組的代表隊伍。最近在Tales of the Lane賽事擊敗超受歡迎的
Moscow 5，以2-0成績在半決賽中取得勝利，但隨即在Dreamhack賽事中打出令人失望的
表現。此外，“superAZE：SUP玩家Piotr Prokop 將被"Patoy"：Jordan Blackburn取代
 (不知道為什麼他們會把ID插在本名中間....)，在最後一刻換將無疑是重創 Curse EU的
bot lane synergy。

Singapore Sentinels are entering IPL 5 knowing that this may be their last
tournament as a team. With mandatory military service looming over the heads
of some team members, the Singapore Sentinels will be looking to prove
themselves as international champion this weekend. SGS were the runners up in
the Garena Premier League finals, losing only to Season 2 champions Taipei
Assassins, proving they should not be underestimated. Innovation is the
hallmark of SGS, exemplified by their ‘Shield’ strategy against TPA. The
last time SGS were in America for IPL face off, they lost to a then thriving
TSM 0-2 and they will seek to avenge this. SGS’s experience against the best
teams in the world makes them a true contender in group C.


    Singapore Sentinels進入IPL5比賽知道這是團隊最後一個比賽(are entering IPL 5
knowing that this may be their last tournament as a team.)。

    一些兵役的問題壓在某些隊伍成員的心上，Singapore Sentinels會在本週證明自己
是一個國際冠軍。SGS是GPL的亞軍，僅輸給S2冠軍TPA，證明了他們不應該被低估。創新

Group D
D組


Group D has it all: two international powerhouses in Moscow 5 and Taipei
Assassins, a team struggling to find its identity in Curse NA, and an
absolute unknown in Blackbean.

    D組概況，兩個世界強權M5以及TPA，一個努力尋找自己定位的Curse NA，以及一切未
知的BlackBean。


Teams from around the world have recently discovered that Moscow 5 is
actually human and have weaknesses. Teams like Curse EU and Team Alternate,
normally considered inferior competition, have both 2-0'd M5 within the last
two months in competitive play. M5 will be looking to bounce back to dominate
the competition for the glory of the Motherland.

    Moscow 5最近被世人發現，他們其實只是人類，也有弱點。像Team Alternate 以及
Curse EU 這兩個一般被認為中下的隊伍(normally considered inferior competition)，
在過去兩個月的賽事，皆以2-0直落M5。

    M5必須反擊以找回祖國的榮耀。


The Taipei Assassins have seemed to take the persona of the 'unbeatable' team
these days. Between blowing everyone away at Season 2 and winning the GPL,
nothing seems to fade them, similarly to how their group opponent Moscow 5
were once viewed. The only thing TPA has going against them is the fact that
they have never played in one of these 'marathon tournaments' where a team
could possibly play up to 28 games in a span of 4 days. Besides all this,
they are arguably the best team in the world, let alone this tournament, and
will show it this weekend.


    TPA這些日子被視為是無法擊倒的隊伍。從S2令全世界大吃一驚到稱霸GPL至今，他們
未曾褪色，如同過去的M5。TPA唯一要克服的，是他們從未比過這樣「馬拉松式」的賽事，
他們可能要再四天之內打完二十八場比賽。

    除此之外，他們可以說是世上最好的隊伍，更遑論這次的比賽了，而本週末他們將證
明。



No team has struggled with their roster or their identity as much as Team
Curse NA. Every week it seems, some sort of role or roster change is taking
place on the team. It happens so quickly it is hard for one person to keep
track of. Curse is hoping that, with the addition of former CLG Prime member
Voyboy and newcomer Rhux, the days of Curse playing musical chairs with their
roster are over. They've got a hard road ahead in order to earn a favorable
seed in the bracket, but if they can somehow pull off a win against M5 or
TPA, they could have a breakout run in the bracket.


    沒有一個隊伍比Team Curse NA更努力的更換他們的隊員以及隊名。每個禮拜去觀察
他們，就會看到他們不斷地更換位置或是隊員，而且快速、頻繁到沒有人能夠掌握。最後
隨著CLG Prime的成員Voyboy 以及新人Rhux的加入，Team Curse NA玩全員大風吹的日子
才結束。

    他們現在有很艱難的道路要走：在賽程中取得有力的種子位置，不過如果他們能夠從
M5或是TPA手中奪下一勝，那麼他們就非常有希望出線。


Blackbean is, quite frankly, a giant question mark in this group and in this
tournament. However, in League of Legends' brief history, question marks
aren't necessarily a bad thing. M5 had essentially came out of nowhere, guns
ablazing, taking out all the titans of the time. Doubts even surrounded TPA
as they had done nothing but beat up the same 5 teams in the GPL before going
to the Season 2 Championship and dominating everyone. So will Blackbean be
our next TPA? Or will they be the Team Pacific from Season 1? That is why we
play the game.


    Blackbean 是，一個非常奇怪、有著非常巨大的問號的隊伍在這個賽程裡面。不過，
在LOL的歷史上，問號通常並不代表壞事。M5基本上就是不知道打哪來，大殺四方，打倒所
有的巨頭。甚至在TPA僅在GPL活躍的時候，各種疑問不時地圍繞著TPA，直到S2之後，TPA
就此主宰了一切。

    所以BlackBean是否就是下一個TPA?還是他們將成為Seanson1的Team Pacific? 這就是為
什麼我們會玩這個遊戲的原因。
