THE PURPOSE OF THIS POST IS TO MAKE PEOPLE UNDERSTAND HOW GENJA PLAYS AND WHY
HIS PLAY STYLE IS SO GOOD FOR THE ENTIRE GAMBIT TEAM. I will try to give you
as much information on Genja and why he is suitable for Gambit, other than
the fact that they've been playing together for more than 1,5 year.

With the recent roster changes of Gambit people might consider the fact that
Genja is the real problem on Gambit.

First take a look at these stats (Requires Gmail):

Genja is not the Doublelift type of AD. Genja's style of play is not to sit
on a lane and farm like most ADs. People might think that, but his style is
to be the "supportive" type. His total gold earned, CS and KDA will show
exactly how he can manage to participate in everything Gambit does as a team,
while keeping a decent CS and KDA. He is often on second place after Alex Ich
when it comes to total gold, if not on a third place after Darien.

Genja is not the big "playmaker" like Doublelift. You've probably seen all
the montages of Doublelift making huge plays, but let's not forget the fact
that, Doublelift makes plays because he ends up in bad situations/positions,
so he is FORCED to make a play to get into a better position. Genja on the
otherhand is a GOD when it comes to positioning in teamfights as AD. That's
why you dont see him make "Doublelift-plays". Don't forget that fact that
Gambit DOESN'T peel for Genja. Genja is always on his own in teamfights.

The reason why Genja builds tear-builds is pretty simple. By looking at his
champion picks, you'll figure out that he doesnt play AD to auto attack(IE.
Caitlyn, Vayne, Twitch, Draven). His style is to use as many abilities as
possible in teamfigts and be there as long as possible (Like keeping the slow
on the enemy team when playing Varus/Ashe). Short said, he plays champions
with strong ultimates/abilities. The tear on Ashe/Varus will give him a
decent AD boost, while being cappable of spamming abilities in fights without
going oom. That doesnt require a high IQ to figure out, it's simple thinking.
The tear on Varus will bring a lot more of poke, since Genja sometimes level
the Q ability first and poke the **** out of the enemy team.

When looking at the stats you'll also figure out that he is quite good at
keeping a good CS and KDA while his team is behind. His KDA stats shows that
he has only been under a KDA of 1, ONCE in all 7 weeks.

Genja is not the carry for Gambit. The carries are Alex Ich, Darien and
Diamond. As mentioned earlier, his role is a "supportive AD", you might be
able to compare him a little bit to Sneaky from C9. The farm doesnt go to
him, he takes what a normal AD champion needs and NOTHING more than that. The
3 other carries will carry the early/mid game, and if the match turns into a
40+ min match, Genja will have the farm, to be able to do a lot since he
simply is an AD.

Anyways this was my opinion and how i look at Genja and his style. Feel free
to ask any questions and you are 100% allowed to question some stuff here.
Let's talk about this. You are welcome to ask me about my opinion on other
stuff regarding Gambit/Genja/Edward and so on.

Statement from Diamond: Topic starter, you are right about almost everything.
thank you for trying to clarify the situation on our botlane and save our
marksman from community's unfounded attacks. even though i have no idea, who
are you ^ But Genja isn't passive on his lane "ALWAYS!", like some ppl
could've think or even say. And he doesn't wait for team to carry him. He is
aggressive when it's advantageous. And the aggression is advantageous only
when it's safe and support playing good. For example: if his support playing
very aggressive w/o most needed wards or vision of enemy jungler - he will
only follow him if its the only chance to win the game, otherwise he is gonna
betray this "goodplayer" and finally get his x2 exp on the lane. :) IMO he is
one of the best world adc and deserves atleast respect from our fans, but, in
any case, not hatred"
