Maybe I have been looking for thee
Maybe you are the one who has been there for me
But the common memory we share is the near-miss
Missing each other in bigotry
turning away from true love out of self-conceit
wasting precious time of staying together by jealousy
squandering the beauty of simple care and mutual comfort
in stupidity
How void the fake dignity can hamper one's happiness!
How futile the saved face might do to real life!
Nothing is left once this lifetime is finished
There shouldn't be any stories told and retold again and again.
Only me,
the ambling spirit with the doubt of "maybe",
still wonder if you might be the one for me.
