Yes, finally I can get hold of MAX's movies!! Unlimited thanks to Stanley who sent me these videos. Later I
will try and figure out what the movies are about and then compile a review for each of them. If you know
what the storyline is about please let me know!! I will give credit to that person!!
MAX has filmed two movies and they are :
Ladies MAX -(1996)
Left : Ladies MAX front cover : Great front cover! MAX are so sexy! (hmm..wearing anything?)
Right : Now I realise why other MAX pages don't put up the back covers.....I've decided to put it up for those
who want to see it, but I've ....altered it a bit..sort of. (I can't believe those things appear in a MAX movie!!!)
My first impression : I can not yet tell you what the story is about, (but there isn't a main plot really) however I
can give you my thoughts on the movie.
Well, as you can see from the back cover of the video you can pretty much guess what the movie is
about...MAX and gangsters and cat fights and that sort of thing. It is not really a "very cool" movie, but since
MAX are the main characters...so I guess I'll have to say its quite good :) . What I'm really against this movie is
that it portraits MAX as "Bad n'tough" girls. I've rang up the film director many times and told him the feelings I
had...but sigh...he wouldn't understand that this would affect MAX's image..... haha anyway, MAX are nice
pretty girls and we'll support them no matter what!
The movie starts off with something that disturbs me a lot....especially MINA fans!!! Mina was slapped by a guy
for about 5 times!!! (don't worry I'll get him later) Mina was VERY cute in this movie and that guy ...aiiiii....We
can't help it.... (and even worse she was being slapped down onto the floor.. :(( ) For the whole movie, Mina is
the only member of MAX who is "allowed to preserve" her image in my opinion. She fought the least and she
acted more like a cute, quiet little girl rather than a tough girl like the other 3 members of MAX.
Lina acted mainly as a shoplifter, (yeah...thanks for that Mr.Director....) and she is the one who added
some...funny elements into the movie. For instance she went to the shop, took as many clothes as she can and
sneaked inside a change room, trying to wear all the clothes she took. Then she walk out of the shop like a
balloon. (haha I love her cute look like that!) And later she was chased by a shopkeeper...ran a couple of streets
or so and finally saved my Reina. (I love the chasing bit too! That guy is so amusing haha)
Nana acted as a "spy" of the group, holding her camera all the time. Her job was to follow a guy...and basically
communicate with other members if anything special happens. Near the end we can see NANA VS a Big fat
women....saved by Reina again sort of.
Now to Reina. She is the leader or some sort, and her acting is probably the most impressive I guess. She really
look like a TOUGH girl when she was talking hehe. (oh no....Reina is a nice girl!!) Also Reina is good at
motocycling and fighting (really??????). And in this movie a guy tried to kiss her in one part...(lucky he didn't
hehe)
Overall, as I said before, the movie is really violent, rough, and I really didn't want to see MAX acting more
movies like this....Well...I still have the next movie to see.....
Who's cutest and prettiest in this movie: Mina obviously!!!
Most unforgetable scene: Lina stole a ring and gave it to Mina who was standing next a pier waiting for the guy
she liked.(I think) Lina did this for Mina so that Mina can impress that guy with the ring. (also I think) What
touched me was that as Lina walked away, she turned around and wished Mina good luck once more, and I saw
Mina was touched by Lina's friendship...both of them bursted into tears..... Ooohhhhh I wanted to cry too! (my
eyes were really wet)
And the second movies is -
Give me a Shake : Ladies MAX (1997)
Left : The cover is not as appealing but shows us the rough look of MAX
Right : Cool....no pollution here :)
My first impression : Yes!! I've finally seen both MAX movies! Give me a Shake Ladies MAX is superb!! After
I've seen the first movie, and this movie's cover, I said to myself (before I put this tape into the VCR): Let's
hope there's no more violence!! Show me the beautiful and tender side of MAX!!
Well I was half right. We can see MAX's cute faces, but their tough images was again inherited from the first
movie. (only a little though, so I'm happy hehe ^^, but REINA...sigh...) Also....MAX smoked
(yes...SMOKED).....when I first saw Lina and Reina sitting on the floor smoking, I heard something in my body
broke...sounded like a glass breaking.... What's the point of making them smoke!!??!?!?! Oh no....MAX...(hope
those are fake "tabago"!) Also they swore alot!! Oh no!!
Now let me talk about each member of MAX in the movie:
Mina - Again she was allowed to preserve her "Beautiful, nice girl" image. Mina fans should be very happy,
since only Mina did not smoke!! Also she wasn't involved in any violent scenes!! (Except for in the beginning
where Reina grabbed Mina by her collar and threw her on the ground...but its Reina..so...thats ok haha.) Mina
acted as an 18 year old student(yes! I can hear one word!! Ju-Haachi!! haha), met Reina, and at first Reina was
trying to run away from her because she found her disturbing...but later Mina asked Reina whether she can
become a (student? follower?) of Reina and Reina accepted it. From there onwards Mina knew Lina and Nana.
Lina - I will watch this movie over and over because Lina acted as the main or focused character in the story!!!
(along with Reina) She is sooooooooooooooo so so so so sooooooo CUTE in this movie!!!!!!!!! Her actions and
expressions are absolutely and simply cute cute cute!! (like rolling on the bed and pretending she was Micky
mouse!! hehe...she drew the same on Reina's face while she was sleeping!) Anyway, Lina was originally a friend
of Reina, a partner you can say, but near the end of the movie there seemed to be some kind of conflict
occurring...Lina was arguing with the other three and even Mina slapped her!!! OOoooo Lina what did you do
wrong??
Nana - Nana's role is rather complicated and I had a hard time guessing. First, she is a leader of a gang, and she
looked like she showed affection to a guy.....and later she was unable to decide whether to leave the gang or go
with that guy. (My guess haha) Seemed like she can't have both things simultaneously. There was a scene where
she told her gang members to punch her, one by one in her face....as a kind of punishment? Loving another guy
is breaking the rules? Also Nana is very pretty in this movie!! Especially when she cried!! She touched me!
Reina - Exactly the same as the first movie....you should see Reina beating other girls.....you wouldn't believe
how tough she is..... Reina in this movie is simply a tough girl whom everyone is scared of. (haha) In one scene,
Reina was knocked down by a girl, unconscious, and when she woke up she found her hands tied together. At
that time three men were going to do "something" to her but luckily a guy came in and saved her. Reina, from
her facial expressions told us that she likes that guy....smiling all the time ever since.
Well, the storyline I will figure out later, and for now, I only know that MAX always hang around in this
house/building called Crazy Waltz....looks like a bar to me.
Who is cutest and prettiest : Lina for sure!!
Most unforgetable scene : At the end where Lina was watching a lady singing (must have some special relation
with Lina, or someone Lina admires and loves), a gang interrupted and messed up the whole place. The
intruding gang leader took over the mic and yelled. Lina had been longing to see that lady perform and she was
so upset to see that. (Her eyes were wet and that touched me!) She approached that guy who was at the stage
(in tears) and punched him hard. The expression on her face really made me feel sorry for her!! Nice punch
Lina!!
