[請益] 請教一下投手的VORP是什麼意義？

依VORP的定義：
VORP
Value Over Replacement Player. The number of runs contributed beyond what
a replacement-level player would contribute if given the same percentage
of team plate appearances.

所以...投手的VORP是什麼意義呢？
因為似乎投打的VORP是可以相加計算的...
